How to Install Your McAlister Roman Blind

Roman Blinds are a fantastic option for window coverings. They offer a sleek, modern look and can be fitted either inside or outside of a window recess.

Made to measure Roman Blinds from McAlister Textiles are simple to install. Here's a quick guide:

  1. Begin by placing the first bracket on the wall where your Blind will hang. Depending on the size of your blind, this may be inside or outside the window recess.
  2. Keeping the bracket in place, make a pencil mark to note the position of the screw holes.
  3. Carefully insert the first screw, stopping when it is 2/3 of the way in.
  4. Make sure the second hole is aligned with your pencil mark and do the same with the next screw.
  5. Drill both screws fully into the wall.
  6. Repeat this process with your remaining brackets.
  7. Finally, simply attach your Blind mechanism to the brackets and click the hooks into place. You can remove the top of the blind from the velcro attachment whilst you do this.
  8. Re-attach the top of the blind to the velcro strip.
